FCC Silver Street Thrift Shop

The FCC Silver Street Thrift Shop is a great place to find that special item to make someone happy, and to socialize while browsing.  The Thrift Shop is clean, well-organized, and a visual pleasure.  Hand sanitizer is provided.

Operations are on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10 am-2 pm. Come and check us out downstairs in Riley Hall! Check out the church Facebook page by clicking here for posts on new offerings.

Donations can be dropped off in Riley Hall Room 8 between 9 AM and Noon on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. Gently used items are welcome, but no clothes, electronics or large upholstered furniture, please. For more information contact the church office at 781-826-4762 or email any of the following ladies by clicking on their name, Marilyn, Ginny and Sandy.

Background
In June of 2015, our church decided to establish a thrift shop with the dual purpose of providing inexpensive household items for the community and to provide funds for the church’s benevolent activities. Church members embraced the project and converted a large basement room into a bright, cheery, and very attractive shop. All merchandise is donated by church members or by people from the community.  The shop has a great variety of household items and the inventory is constantly changing as new items are added.  Click here to read a December 11, 2018 article about the shop and click here to read a November 20, 2015 article written soon after the shop opened.

Donations
We welcome donations of various household items, including silverware, dishes, chairs, tables, crafts, and tools. Donations can either be dropped off at the church or we will come to your home. We welcome leftovers from garage sales and estate sales. We provide a tax deduction form. Unfortunately, due to limited space we are not in a position to accept TV’s, computer, stereos, sporting equipment, and large upholstered furniture. For pickups at your home, please contact the church at 781-826-4762 or email any of the following ladies by clicking on their name, Marilyn, Ginny, and Sue.

On the church Facebook page we make posts with new offerings and news about the shop. We encourage you to visit us on a regular basis on Facebook. Simply click here to be connected to our Facebook page.
